We organised the first national Youth Engaging with Science (YES) conference that brings 52 young science enthusiasts from 12 provinces in Vietnam to meet, learn and share with public engagement professionals, and health researchers on good practices, and successful examples of youth-led initiatives promoting good health and well-being.
- The conference consisted of keynote lectures, skills training sessions (eg. explaining science in 1-minute videos, science writing, leading a science debate), and youth-led sessions presenting examples of engagement from around the country;
- 5 senior scientists, including 2 international science communication experts joined as speakers at the conference. OUCRU Hanoi Director attended and delivered a keynote lecture on why we should communicate science to the public.
