Vaccine Uptake Research and Engagement in Dak Lak Province

Dak Lak Province is in the central highlands of Vietnam with 47 ethnic minorities who often face challenging socioeconomic circumstances. The overall vaccination rate of the province is high, but local data reveals low immunisation rates in rural ethnic minority communities. Vaccine-preventable diseases have also appeared in these communities throughout the province, indicating a gap in vaccination uptake.

Our research activities explored the perceptions and experiences of vaccination amongst community members and healthcare workers in Dak Lak province. This data is informing our engagement activities.
