[MolEpi][Pham Hong Anh]

Phạm Hồng Ánh

Senior Research Assistant

Anh’s expertise is in molecular biology (PCR, real-time PCR, cloning, hybridization techniques including Southern and western blotting, sequencing by Sanger, Illumina next-generation sequencing technique) and serology.

Anh’s recent research is screening for some common antimicrobial resistance genes in Gram-negative bacteria and methicillin (mecA) and vancomycin (vanA, vanB) in Gram-positive bacteria using a melting curve qPCR assay.

Prior to this project, she worked on an international project funded by the Wellcome Trust called WT-VIZIONS (Wellcome-Trust-Vietnamese Initiative on Zoonotic Infections), where she focused on investigating the presence of zoonotic viruses in different animal species across Vietnam.
