Ms Nguyen Hoa Trang serves as Laboratory Quality Monitor for the PARADIGM4TB Phase 2b clinical trial, which investigates new drugs and treatment regimens for tuberculosis. Her work involves overseeing trial site laboratories in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and three sites in the Philippines. She ensures that all laboratory activities are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP), under the oversight of the trial sponsor at University College London (UK).
Trang joined OUCRU in 2014 as a Research Assistant on a multi-site sepsis study, later gaining experience in viral and bacterial research, including projects on Hepatitis viruses and Helicobacter pylori. She subsequently moved into a management role as Biorepository Manager, where she was responsible for planning, developing, and overseeing the implementation of OUCRU’s biorepository management programme.
Her diverse experience across research and quality management contributes to the integrity and compliance of OUCRU’s clinical laboratory operations.
