Huong has worked with the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit since 2015.  She established the first Community Advisory Group (CAG) for clinical trials at OUCRU and has been involved in a number of community engagement projects to support specific research and collaborations with hospital staff in patient-focused engagement at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases. Huong currently coordinates the PCE Seed Award programme promoting public engagement within research culture and is developing a training curriculum to strengthen researchers’ capacity in community engagement.
