Budhathoki begin her career as a hospital nurse after earning PCL nursing degree, she dedicated three years to direct patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment. During this time, she honed clinical skills, fostered collaborative relationships within multidisciplinary teams, and gained exposure to diverse medical specialties. Her unwavering commitment to patient well-being and safety was evident through strict adherence to medical protocols.
Furthering her education, She pursued a bachelor’s program in nursing at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, where she was privileged to receive a scholarship. Graduating with distinction, she was recognized with an academic excellence award and received accolades from the President of Nepal for achieving the highest academic performance among female students nationwide. Transitioning into a nursing instructor role, she spent a year sharing practical experiences and knowledge with aspiring nurses, both in classroom and clinical settings, while also contributing to the development of nursing curricula through the integration of evidence-based practices.
Driven by a passion for research, she transitioned into a research-focused role as a research nurse at Patan Academy of Health Sciences in Pediatric Study, where she collaborated closely with research teams to collect data, provide patient counseling, monitor clinical trials, and ensure adherence to ethical standards. Furthering her expertise, she pursued additional training in clinical epidemiology through a scholarship at Mahidol University in Bangkok. Armed with this knowledge, she assumed the role of a research officer, where her major responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance, providing ethical training, and coordinating studies on a global scale.
Her diverse career trajectory underscores a commitment to lifelong learning, a passion for patient care, and a dedication to advancing healthcare through education and research.
