Training Coordinator

Yen plays a crucial role in coordinating the PhD Program within the organisation.

She is responsible for advertising and raising awareness of the program to the public and institutions for recruitment of young researchers, providing pastoral support for students during their studies, monitoring student progress, liaising with educational stakeholders and coordinating training events. Yen also specializes in championing mindfulness and wellness in the student body.

Yen was a fellow of the Ford Foundation International Fellowship Program. She holds a Master’s degree in Health, Safety, and Environment, which she obtained in 2011 from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. Her academic background equips her with knowledge and expertise in supporting postgraduate students.

In addition to her academic achievements, Yen has pursued professional development courses to enhance her skills. She has completed courses such as Coaching for Personal Development by Peter Chee, Participatory Action-oriented Training by the International Labour Organisation (ILO), and Mindfulness Practice for Well-being by Plum Village.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Yen is passionate about travel, learning, and sharing knowledge. She is driven by a strong desire to help vulnerable individuals and contribute to their well-being.
