As a lecturer, she has provided lectures to students and post-graduate doctors about infectious diseases. As a clinician at the Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, she is responsible for a variety of duties, including diagnosis and management of patients with severe infections.
Dr Dong Thi Hoai Tam has been a member of the training staff of the hospital, contributing especially to the training programme of Dengue or refresher courses on HIV/AIDS at the provincial hospitals in the south of Vietnam. She has been a member of the Ethics Committee Board of the Hospital For Tropical Diseases.
