Recognising that bioethics is an essential part of research, particularly in biology and medicine, the Southeast Asia (SEA) Bioethics Network was established with support from the Wellcome Trust Research Development Award.
The network is dedicated to publicise the bioethics approaches across Southeast Asia by promoting a deeper understanding and application of ethical principles in biological and medical research throughout the region. It also encourages innovative projects that address emerging ethical challenges and opportunities, aligning with international developments in the field.
Recently, the network awarded four research grants to enable researchers to have a deeper look and application into several ethical issues in the SEA context. We invite you to a webinar featuring presentations on the following bioethics topics.
The webinar aims to familiarise the wider community with important bioethics topics in SEA as well as provide a collaborative platform for researchers to receive feedback and thereby improve their work. Ultimately, the network would like to strengthen and contribute to the global discourse on ethical issues in biological and medical research.
