dr. Isanawidya Hikmah Paramita, MSc

PhD Student

Isana is studying for a DPhil in clinical medicine at the University of Oxford’s Center for Tropical Medicine and Global Health. Her research looks at how diabetes affects the response of a type of immune cell called gamma delta T cells during acute infections like Melioidosis and COVID-19.

Isana is pursuing a DPhil in Clinical Medicine at the University of Oxford and is affiliated with Wolfson College. She has a background as a medical doctor and has been serving as a lecturer since 2019 at the Department of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia. Isana completed her master’s in immunology at the University of Glasgow with the support of the Chevening Awards (FCDO). Her research mainly focuses on T cell immunity, particularly examining how gamma delta T cells respond to infection in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
